This is why Brad isn't allowed to go shopping with me...

We went to Target for a Wii Remote. We even had a gift card (thanks Aunt Betse and Uncle Chop).

Somehow Brad managed to end up with this...

A new iPad 2! Merry Christmas (again!). As for me, I ended up with this...

...a new toothbrush. Oh well. When it comes to marriage, what's yours is mine (I'm definitely referring to the iPad. Brad is NOT sharing my toothbrush).

Catch ya later!

Merry Christmas!

Wishing you and your family a day of happiness, family, fun, and laughter. Enjoy the blessing, and be sure to remember baby Jesus, born in a manger, sent down to earth so that we may live forever. Amen!

Date night!

Since Brad did such a great job planning last week's date, this week we got to do something that he really enjoys--go to the movies.

I'm not a huge movie person, but Brad really wanted to see the new Sherlock Holmes movie, so off we went. (OK, I complained a little bit.)

Brad really enjoyed the movie, and in my honest opinion, it wasn't too bad. We grabbed a quick bite to eat at home before the movie, and finished off our evening with an episode of Chopped. It was a fantastic date night. Now we're off to spend the evening with family. See ya later!

Christmas-Filled Weekend

What a fantastic, Christmas-filled weekend! Brad and I were lucky to spend Friday evening at Christkindlmarkt in Bethlehem with Brad's mom and step-dad. We had a great time exploring the market and eating some great food.

After dinner Brad enjoyed a creme brulee-filled croissant, which may have been his highlight of the evening:

We also explored the SteelStacks, where the market was held. It's a great area, and would be a great place to hang out when it's a little bit warmer. We did happen to come across a giant Christmas tree made of marshmallow trees!

Saturday was a little bit more low-key, filled with naps, food, and Christmas-present wrapping.

We also had the chance to spend some time with Brad's grandfather, who came home from the hospital earlier this week.

Sunday was a day filled with holiday treat-making. Gooey butter cake (with some red and green sprinkles for some holiday flair):

Chocolate Oatmeal Cookies:

And some peppermint bark:

Now we're off to have dinner with some friends. I hope you enjoyed your weekend as much as we did!

Blessings,
Nikki
